Rifle Company - Lowlands (4)
On the left are my radio operators. They stuck close to me at all times. Notice the red mail bags. Radio batteries were in the cardboard boxes. They were mighty heavy to carry while "humping" in the field.
On the right is a Roman Catholic Mass being celebrated by a priest who used parachute silk for his vestments and boxes of C-Rations as the altar. That particular priest was fearless. He would come in on a helicopter to say Mass even when we were taking fire.More Rifle Company pictures.
