Ever since my Army Jungle Warfare training days in Panama, I've wanted to return to Central America to do some environmental sight-seeing. 

     I wanted to get as close to an active volcano as possible; hike through the cloud forest and rain forest; photograph the exotic birds, butterflies and flowers; visit the Pacific Ocean. 

     I did just that, starting with a hike to the Arenal volcano.  C'mon along with me.
