On one of my countryside trips, I went to a rubber plantation.  In the picture on the left, notice the white cups mounted on the trees that collect the latex sap.  On the right, a woman makes fresh cuts on a tree before mounting a collector cup.

Do you think these workers would be in the pictures if I was carrying a weapon?

I thought it was amazing that despite the spraying of Agent Orange and the constant bombing and battles, that all the rubber plantations I saw remained intact and producing latex for the World Market.
